My favorites are usually a mixed bag of middlebrow movies: a few popular dramas (Dances with wolves), documentaries (Earthlings), actioners (Fight club), sci-fi (Terminator 2: judgment day ), and comedies (Groundhog day); some of the 20 or so screenplay Oscar and Chlotrudis nominated movies (excluding musicals and British crime dramas); and every few years a clever lowbrow comedy (Very bad things) or naked emperor auteur piece (Magnolia).
