Movies I walked out on/Stopped Watching before the end

  • Dr. T and the Women (granted it was free, so it wasn't such a huge deal that I walked out, but still it was a pretty sad movie for any director, let alone Robert Altman. Put it this way - I wanted to kill every single character, and Richard Gere was one of the BETTER parts of the movie. Jeesh.)
  • Pink Flamingos (I actually wanted to finish watching it, but my friends had had enough, and I didn't care enough to finish it. Guess I'll have to endure it all over again someday.)
  • The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (couldn't take it. It was wigging me out too much. Someday I fully intend to watch it though.NOTE - I have now watched it. It was okay, but still pretty creepy. It was weird to read the making of story in Premiere. The movie felt like it was made by an actual serial killer, but quite normal people produced it.
  • CRASH - Ususally I like Cronenberg's bizarre visions of life. This one practically put me to sleep before the first half hour and this with the help of sex scenes! I don't even plan on renting it again to finish it.

Because of my obsessive desire to watch and finish all movies - even the bad ones - combined with the fact I never consider a movie "watched" until every last second is taken in - I have rarely stopped watching a movie. Here are the very few that have earned this dishonor.

I'm with you Jen on the richard gere infested Dr. T. Man that movie blew chow!!!!

I have to agree partially on Texas ChainSaw Massacre. It is the only film i can think of besides what dreams may come that i initially thought i wish i had never seen. Both these movies were great but Chainsaw Massacre actually made me sick and gave me some serious chills. No spoilers, but watch to the end because it keeps going. Just to tie in on What dreams may come I found myself contemplating death incessantly for atleast a week after seeing it, and needless to say those ponderings are not exactly joyful.

Come on! Texas Chanisaw Massacre was so farcical that it was funny. We used to go watch it every Friday and Midnight Madness. It was LAME, but not gross. There are so many other movies that are GROSS. The hobbling in Misery makes my stomach turn...not enough to walk out, but at least it's quasi-real. TCsM was totally silly.

BTW, Jen, another good list I wouldn't have thought to create.
