My Tattoos

- First one - got in 1990, I think... I can't believe I can't remember for sure! I went with a friend from work and just picked something small to see if I could stand it. I also wanted it somewhere it would show; if I was going to endure it, I was going to show it off! This is my left hand turned upside down on the scanner - not my right hand. ;)
- Second one - I got this one about a year later; I'm pretty sure it was 1991. A friend from another job (I currently had three) had a tattoo artist at her birthday party, and I stayed up all night (drinking wapatuli punch) to get it.
- Third one (first pic) (second) - I had this designed by hand just for me, March of '03. I wanted something to go around my upper arm, but more original than barbed wire or vines & flowers (no offense to anyone) and I like snakes. A guy who did some preliminary drawing work for Shrek who owns snakes drew it from scratch.
- Fourth one - A friend asked me to come along to help look after her son one day when she had a tattoo appointment. When she was done getting hers, I decided to get one too, and I got this.

I'm broke right now, otherwise I'd probably have gotten another one by now. I find them addicting. I don't want to be covered in them or anything, but I find them an artistic means of expressing myself...

I only have one tattoo so far, so I think I will make a list of the tattoos I want to get.
